Climate change is making our environment less comfortable. We are air conditioning much more than just a generation ago. This should be reflected in how we design and build. Why are current technology-based programs so far from the original goals of the movement? As thought leaders, we must rethink our approach so we have homes that are truly sustainable, resilient, and climate-responsive from the start. Topics explored include more efficient plans, right-sizing, smarter kitchens, lighting flaws, glare-free daylighting, smarter roofs, and the like – to ensure healthier living in tune with the climate, so our homes use fewer resources to live and perform better by design.
